Marysville Care Center helps patient after total hip replacement

Maria VanKlaveren was in need of extensive rehabilitation when she came to Marysville Care Center in Washington on May 29, 2016.

VanKlaveren had visited the facility previously for rehabilitation after a heart attack. This time, she needed rehab for a total hip replacement.

On June 18, 2016, residents “King” Robert Stecher and “Queen” Mary Simmons represented Marysville Care Center in the Marysville, Washington, 85th annual local Strawberry Festival parade.

Each year, the city of Marysville puts on a week-long Strawberry Festival, and on the last day there is a grand parade.

The residents at Marysville Care Center in Marysville, Washington, have been working hard with Debbie Haggin, activity assistant, to create a masterpiece out of the little plots of dirt and previously empty flower beds in our Havenwood courtyard this year.

Back in February, the residents and activity staff planted tiny seeds of squash, cucumbers, herbs, carrots and flowers.
